Posted May 05, 2019 06:23:16When the Stars start the season off on a high note, Jamie Patrick and Jamie Benn have a special place in the heart of the Stars dressing room.
In the past, the duo has been the backbone of the team and a staple in the line-up.
However, the Stars have seen a number of injuries this season and Patrick is now dealing with an undisclosed ailment.
The Stars’ defense has also been the problem for the team, and that has been a major concern for the duo.
The duo has struggled with that issue, with Benn missing time with a foot injury and Janmark dealing with a groin issue.
The pairing is set to face some of the toughest tests in the league when the Stars begin their season against the St. Louis Blues at the American Airlines Center on Saturday.
The Blues are one of the most dominant teams in the NHL.
They currently sit at a league-best 14-1-2 and have three of their last four games at home.
The Blues are coming off a win against the Florida Panthers on Monday night.
The Stars are 1-3-0 against them in the regular season.
Benn and Patrick were not in the lineup for that game, but the duo did make the trip with the team.
The duo has seen the Stars fall apart in the first round of the playoffs after losing two games in a row.
They were swept by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the second round.
Patrick has been battling injuries for most of the season, and he is now nursing a lower-body injury.
The team expects him to miss at least the next couple of games.
Patrick said he was just getting used to the feeling that he had in his legs.
Patrick said he’s not getting sore at all.
He said he feels like he’s playing through it and he’s enjoying it.
He just wants to keep getting better and hopefully get back out there for the playoffs.
The injury is just the latest setback for the Stars, who are just 2-5-0 in the season series.
Patrick, who had two goals and an assist in the series, will be back in the mix this weekend.
The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
